Tigrikorn #22 Intro
main | zine cover | archive

In a highschool sketchbook, was merged the mythical unicorn with a tiger... thus creating an amalgam that represents two natures: Idealistic Fantasy and Fierce Reality -tigrikorn.  He treads the line between competing worlds and  ideals; a bit of a misfit, his adventures are chronicled here.

The student work for this issue is from the Fall 1 2003 Cartooning Classes at Kaleidoscope School of Art in Barrington IL (4th-5th grade and JrHi thru High School).

The TigriKorn comix zine takes a while for me to put together. Sometimes I can crank 'em out after each 6-week session and sometimes not. I find that the more student involvement I have, the more likely it is that a new edition is able to be published.

Since most of my students enjoy having a printed zine more than a web version, I'll continue to print limited number of new zines when possible. Although I personally prefer the web version.

If you have any questions or comments about this zine or Kaleidoscope School of Art, please don't hesitate to contact me.
